American center Zach Smith will play for our men's team until the end of the 2023/24 season. Zach is already familiar to the fans of our club and was remembered for his outstanding performances with MINSK last season. In the VTB United League of the 2022/23 season, Smith played 21 games with average stats of 9.9 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.1 assists in almost 24 minutes on the floor. In the Belarusian championship, Zach played in 9 games with average stats of 8.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.8 blocks in just over 22 minutes on the floor on average per game.
Earlier in his career, Zach played the 2018/19 season in the Greensboro Swarm team – a branch of the Charlotte Hornets (NBA G-League), in the 2019/20 season he played for the VEF Riga club in the Latvian-Estonian League.
In 2020, as part of the Herd That team, he took part in the US open basketball tournament, and in the 2020/21 season he played for the German club S.Oliver Wuerzburg.
Smith spent the beginning of the current season at the Israeli club H.Afula. The average statistics of the center in 5 games amounted to 3.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.2 blocks in almost 16 and a half minutes on the floor.
