MINSK Basketball Club has signed a cooperation agreement with 26-year-old center Koch Bar, who will play for our men's team in the 2023/24 season (height 211 cm, weight 102 kg).
Koh Deng Aguer Bar was born on September 15, 1996 in South Sudan, Abyei district.
From 2016 to 2020, he played for the Bradley College team (NCAA, Missouri Valley Conference, USA).
In May 2020, Bar signed his first professional contract with the Vaerlose Blue Hawks of the Danish Basketball League. In his debut year, he averaged 14.5 points and was the second best player in the league, making 10.4 rebounds per match.
The center spent the previous two seasons in the Danish Horsens IC. In the 2022/23 season, Bar's average stats in 33 games were 10.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, 1.7 blocks, 1.2 assists.
Internationally, Bar plays for the South Sudan national basketball team. In the qualification games for the 2023 World Cup as part of the national team, Bar's statistics in 11 matches amounted to 4.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists. Bar is very likely to play as part of his national team in the final stage of the World Cup, which will be held from August 25 to September 10, 2023.
